Dear South Bucks Members
As we all look to return to enjoying Netball various concerns have been bought to our attention regarding Covid compliance and netball competitions that are not recognised and authorised by England Netball so we wanted to clarify a few key points to consider when entering your team into competitions or participating in commercially run workshops either as a Coach or player, as netball begins to return, as is important that Netball returns safely.
Any organisation arranging and delivering Netball are required to comply with England Netball Covid protocols and this includes commercial leagues and commercial workshops and the teams and players participating within these. This includes completing Covid related risk assessments and Risk Mitigation plans as well as all elements of the Restart guidance. If you are considering entering a team in any activity, or a player is attending a workshop, you would be within your rights to ask for details of the organisations risk mitigation plan to ensure you are comfortable to engage in any activity.
We wanted to reassure you that all volunteers supporting the delivery of competition through our county directly or member leagues registered with England Netball have been working hard to get all the necessary procedures in place to ensure your safe return to court. Full mitigation plans have been developed and these organisations will be happy to provide these or answer any questions so you can be confident to get back on court with us.
If a team/coach/umpire/player is participating in a competition/league/workshop that is not classed as recognised and authorised by England Netball, we just wanted to advise that this activity would not be covered by England Netball’s programme of insurance.
