Umpiring courses
All course bookings will be managed via England Netball centrally and learners will be provided with all the course information they require up front before they start the course. Due to the extensive development work prioritised to enable counties and regions to track their learners journey, our updated roll out plan is as follows:

Phase 1: Into Officiating courses will begin to be rolled out as a pilot at the end of March 2021. This course will comprise of two 2-hour interactive virtual sessions delivered via Zoom. Learners will each receive a hard resource, a whistle, and a rule book prior to the course. The cost of the course will be £40 per learner (the requirement for full England Netball membership to book onto a course remains unchanged).

Phase 2: C Award courses will begin to be rolled out towards the end of May 2021. This course will comprise of two 1 ½ hour interactive virtual sessions delivered via Zoom. Each learner will receive an electronic resource to support the course delivery. Once the virtual course is completed the learner will be invited to take their C award written exam online. The cost of the course (including one attempt at the C award written exam – usually an additional £10) will be £45 per learner (the requirement for full England Netball membership to book onto a course remains unchanged).

Phase 3: B Award courses will begin to be rolled out in July 2021 (due the fact that it has a practical element and the national roadmap is not being unlocked until the 21st June). This course will have a blended approach and will comprise of two 1 ½ hour interactive virtual sessions delivered via Zoom and will be followed up by a 2-hour practical session (delivered face to face). Each learner will receive an electronic resource to support the course delivery. The cost of the course will be £60 per learner (the requirement for full England Netball membership to book onto a course remains unchanged).
